Students Celebrate the End of the 2021/22 Academic Year with a Sunny Awards Ceremony
Our students gathered on a gloriously sunny June afternoon at the double-pod section of Merryhue Farm to celebrate the end of another exciting year with Transferable Skills Training. There have been many things to celebrate this year, and it was topped off with several awards granted to the students from the Royal Cornwall Show.
Some of our students will be leaving for pastures new and, for them, our staff have a message:
Dear Leavers,
We want to thank each one of you for the memories and the learning we have shared this year. Our final message to you is… to believe in yourself, for you are stronger than you know. Try hard, but know your limits. Ask if you need help, and trust that others will help you. Remember: you are unique, special, and amazing people. Dream, believe, wonder, inspire, always listen and, above all, be kind.
Finally, remember: it might be you last day at TST, but we will always be here.
Take care,
From everyone at TST
The Queen Bee at Mayfest 2022
Our staff and students have been busy bees recently, preparing a Queen Bee for the Callington Mayfest parade! Janice led the way to producing the massive papier-mache invertebrate, and we'd like to thank everybody to putting in the necessary effort to pull off something so good. We're pretty sure it caught the eyes of the Callington crowd on a sunny Saturday afternoon.
Monuments Matter to People

Here Comes the Sun - Summer Term
We would like to welcome everybody back! The Easter break has come and gone, and we hope that you feel refreshed and rejuvenated.
As we enter the Summer term at Merryhue Farm, let's prepare for bright sunshine and warm weather. Always wear appropriate clothing and shoes, be aware of the need for suncream on the hottest days, and most importantly: let's enjoy ourselves!

Bowling at Trethorne Leisure Park
The students had a blast at Trethorne Park. They had a game of bowling to celebrate the hard work of the last term!
Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal visits Merryhue Farm
Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal visited Merryhue Farm in February, where she learned about the projects that the not for profit community interest companies Battling On, Work Skills South West, Transferable Skills Training and Grown That Way have been working on. We also had presenters from other local groups, including Age UK, Tamar Grow Local and Plymouth University.
We were absolutely thrilled to be able to have Her Royal Highness visit the farm, and we hope that she enjoyed it!
Happy Halloween to our Students!
We wish our students a Happy Halloween! We were very impressed with the ghosts that they made this year. Great effort from all involved!
