Nikki Markham

Nikki is the founding director of Transferable Skills Training, and a passionate advocate for disadvantaged young people and adults. She has over 20 years’ experience of teaching and working in this demographic and achieving some outstanding results. It is a testament to Nikki’s dedication that many ex-students “pop in” to catch up with her whenever they can, eager to share their achievements with someone who has supported and encouraged them.

Kellie Miller

Kellie is the EHCP Coordinator, Designated Safeguarding Lead and Careers Guidance Officer.

Extremely efficient and knowledgeable on Education Health and Care Plans.Kellie works well with parents/carers and professionals to make sure the learners needs are being met. Also she is a qualified tutor in the Post 16 sector for learners with SEN.

Mark Claridge

Mark is Head of Education and Mental Health First Aid Lead at TST.

A focused and forward-thinking practitioner with 15 years’ experience across a range of educational establishments. With a positive outlook to raise aspirations and enable all learners to achieve their full potential.

Promoting mental health awareness, Mark is also our MHFA lead.

Teachers

Our team of teaching staff are knowledgeable, highly skilled and dedicated to helping every student reach their full potential. They provide both academic leadership to the learners, and a mentor role where it is needed. Teaching staff often work alongside the students, leading by example when teaching practical skills, demonstrating the core principles of teamwork.

Additional Learning Support Workers

Our Additional Learning Support staff play a significant and varied role in helping students with academic work, practical skills and giving one-to-one support when needed. They are a vital part of the team at TST.
